Challenge staff support clients with low, moderate, high and very high support needs across all disabilities, backgrounds, in group and individual programs. We provide a flexible service to individuals based around their individual needs and goals. Our programs are culturally respectful and we work in partnership with other Government and non-Government agencies. We aim to develop and deliver programs that are well coordinated and manageable from the individuals and their families or carers perspective.
Activities are aimed at increasing clients' independence, confidence and options. We also encourage the development of friendships and social skills both within our service and the wider community.
Challenge Disability Services has a Maternity Locum Educator position available for a person who has broad life experiences that would assist them to work positively with our clients to achieve their personal goals.
Well developed and effective communication, numerical and interpersonal skills •Demonstrated and sound computer skills – MS Word and MS Outlook
Excellent time management skills
Ability to work outside normal business hours
Ability to prioritise and problem solve situations
Ability to work individually or in a team with minimal supervision
Current NSW driver's licence - manual transmission
Current First Aid Certificate
Certificate III in Disabilities or equivalent or willingness to obtain certificate
Demonstrated experience in providing services to people with a disability
Previous experience as a Key Worker
